Why dogs have wet noses

Tyler wrote this story in school and I thought it was hilarious and very creative. I just had to share it.

Why dogs have wet noses - By Tyler, 3rd grade, age 8.

Long ago, people didn't know why dogs had wet noses.

Parents and scientists tried to figure out why dogs had wet noses.

Some parents thought that tells them they've been in the water.

Other people believe dogs noses are wet because they are too hard on them.

Parents and kids started being nice to their dogs but their noses are still wet.

Parents tried other things like giving their dogs a lot of food to make them healthy, but that didn't work.

The parents kept on trying and trying but their noses were still wet.

No one ever found out why dogs noses are wet.

Except scientists found out why dogs have wet noses and the scientists told the parents that their dogs have wet noses because the dogs are crying too much, so the drops drop on their noses.

That is why dogs have wet noses from this day forward.
