At approximately 5:20 this morning we were awakened by our doorbell ringing. It took me a couple of rings to realize that it wasn't part of my dream but I finally drug myself out of bed wondering what in the world was happening. Shawn followed me downstairs (he had only been home for about 3.5 hours) to check it out. There on our porch was our neighbor. Shawn's first thought was that the guys car had been stolen, my first thought was that someone was hurt... the truth is, Shawn's patrol car had been tagged by the neighborhood thugs! Grrr... This is just a warning to watch out for the little creeps that are vandalizing our neighborhoods. Our neighbor just happened to be on his porch getting ready to go to work when he saw these 2 boys walking down the street. He thought it was pretty suspicious for 2 teens to be out at 5:00 am. They got spooked when they saw him but he had to go back inside to get his glasses. When he came back out he saw the car and came to tell us. Thank you Glen for stepping up and getting involved! We called the PD and within 5 minutes we had 4 police cars pull up. Shawn and I have laughed at what we call the "Mayberry Police" in the past because of how they respond to things but boy was I grateful this morning! :) Glen gave them a description of the boys and the cops took the dog around the neighborhood trying to track them down. We have seen these boys around the "hood" but don't know where they live. They better watch out though because no one messes with my husbands car! We will find the little punks and they will learn a lesson in respecting property. Thankfully we were able to get the paint off the car with "Goof off". That stuff really is amazing! So anyway, consider yourself warned, there are some very naughty children in our neighborhood!
