WCC- Day 1

Saturday morning we got up and went down to have breakfast with all of the other 70+yo cruisers. It was quite the madhouse but we had expected it and just grabbed some breakfast to take up to our room and eat. Our shuttle to the port left at 10:30 - even though our ship didn't leave until 5:00 and we couldn't even start boarding until 12:30 - kind of lame but whatever. So of course we got there very early - the same as 1000 other people so basically they just hearded us all into a waiting area and gave us numbers for boarding. While we were waiting to board we ended up sitting in the middle of a group of people there for a Xango convention. We met some really nice people that we had fun chatting with whenever we saw them on the ship. One couple, Bill and Dori from Texas we even ended up having dinner with and hope to keep in touch with in the future. When it was finally our turn to board we had a bit of a scare - they had booked us in a room with another couple. Ummmm, what?? It turns out the couple had originally been booked in the room but then they upgraded so for the first 3 days everything we got was in their name. It was kind of annoying but then we decided that it was fine as long as everything got charged to them.... teehee. :)  Of course they finally got it all sorted out and we got our bill and I assume they got theirs.
