Banquet

Last night was an honorary banquet for Shawn and the other field training officers at his work. It was a nice night out together. They had it catered at a hotel and the food was really yummy. Everyone was dressed up in their best and they drew tickets out of a bowl for prizes and both Shawn and I won- yay! :) One of the best parts of the evening was they had a comedienne come in for entertainment. Her name was Rubi Nicholas and 3 years ago she won America's funniest mom contest and now she performs at various comedy clubs when she's not working as an insurance executive. She was so dang funny! The Chief had asked her to keep it pretty clean so aside from a few slips she really did a pretty good job. We laughed so dang hard and had a great time. Rubi and her husband sat at our table so we go a pre and post show also- lol. She invited us to come see her perform so hopefully sometime we can. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening. :)
